The City has a number of plans, regulations and guidelines that cover land use and future development.

General Plan. The 1992 General Plan is the City's framework for future community development, preservation and environmental conservation and includes a Land Use Map (PDF - 2.5 MB)*. The City is in the process of updating the General Plan.

Zoning Ordinance. The Zoning Ordinance contains specific regulations that apply to properties citywide or based on their zoning district. The Zoning Map (PDF - 6.4 MB)* shows where the boundaries of zoning districts lie.

Precise Plans. The City has thirty-two Precise Plans that have specific regulations and guidelines that apply to defined geographic areas.

Guidelines. The City has a wide range of design and process guidelines to assist property owners and developers.
