Downtown Parking Permits

Parking permits are available for businesses, their employees, and downtown residents for purchase on a daily, monthly,
and annual basis.  Please complete the correct application/s below and bring into the
Finance and Administrative Services Department located in City Hall at 500 Castro Street, Second Floor.  Please display your current permit until your new permit is available.

Eligible applicants must have a place of business, be employed by a business or be a resident located within the Downtown Parking District (map below).

Permits may be purchased in person with a business check at the City's Finance and Administrative Services Department, City Hall, 500 Castro Street, Second Floor, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

A current business license is required in order for an employee of a business or a representative of a business to purchase a parking permit. Parking permit holders may park up to eight hours per day in designated lots and on the two upper levels of the downtown parking structures.

Downtown Public Parking



Parking Permit are valid at the following downtown locations:

  • Parking structures at lot 1 (Bryant Street and Evelyn Avenue) on the top two floors only and lot 3 (Bryant and California Streets) on the top three floors only.
  • Parking lots 6 through 9 and temporary lots 11 and 12

Parking Permits are not valid at the following downtown locations:

  • Parking structures at lots 1 and 3 (floors 1 and 2)
  • Parking lots 2, 4, 5

One-Day Permits are valid as noted above.

Two-Hour Limit at parking structures 1 and 3, and parking lots 6 through 9 and 12 (with no return to lot within three hours).

Three-Hour Limit at parking lot 11 only.
