Definitely Downtown

Mountain View's pedestrian-oriented downtown is a destination point, offering cuisine from scores of countries, as well as specialty shops, bookstores, coffeehouses, and sidewalk cafes.

Downtown Mountain View

Mountain View is full of year-round, fun-filled festivals and events where admission is free. Weekend events such as the Farmer's Market and a myriad of summer festivals provide a lively engaging environment. Information is usually available one month prior to event date. Check this website's Calendar page for updates, or the Downtown Guide for ideas and parking map.

Downtown Facade Improvement Program

The Downtown Facade Grant Improvement Program (Facade Program) is designed to stimulate private investment in high-quality building improvements that contribute to the overall strength of downtown as a shopping and dining destination. Through this program, the City will share the costs of improving building exteriors, thereby promoting joint public/private action and investment, which will complement and enhance downtown revitalization efforts.

Downtown Transit

Centennial Plaza in downtown is home to the City's Transit Plaza, with access to VTA (light rail and bus) and CalTrain (an official Bullet Train stop). Visit our communter webpage for more local commute information.
